UVB Discolors the Good Skin
from Nobody in Bristol

I have been using a UVB lamp for a while and noticed that it discolors the good bits of skin. So by the time the P has gone the rest of the skin looks odd as it is discolored. Heard of this before? -Nobody in Bristol

Ed’s Response: Not exactly. I’ve heard of the clear skin, where the lesions were, being discolored from the surrounding skin, and I’ve heard of generally tanner skin being one of the happy consequences of UV therapy, but I had not heard of previously healthy skin discoloring (other than tanning). Definitely one for your derm. Or, if other readers have experience with this, please email me. -Ed
