More on Depression and P
from Robert W.

Hi Ed: I have had psoriasis for about 4 years now. It started on the scalp and rapidly spread to over 35% of my body. While its impossible to be certain, I can't help but feel that my bout of P was triggered by stress from that period. I have often experienced depression also ... more so after the onset of P.

I have used some of the more popular anti-depressants including Prozac. Certainly these did something for me, if only giving me a somewhat artificial sense of well being. I would have to say that when I take it slow and try not to let things get to me, I don't flare as much.

I would welcome email from other people who would like to discuss this issue. My permanent email address is :

Thanks. -Robert
