Protopic and Pregnancy
from G

Hello Ed.  I stumbled across your web site when I was searching for info on the safety of Protopic ointment and early pregnancy. I know that they don't know enough to say it's safe to use during pregnancy but curious if you have more info concerning use during time of conception or any info about Protopic and early pregnancy? Thanks, -G

Ed’s Response:  I know no more than you, G.  WebMD.com says, “Tacrolimus topical [a.k.a. Protopic] is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether tacrolimus topical will harm an unborn baby. Do not use this medication without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant during treatment.”

Perhaps some readers have been there, done that, and might share what they’ve heard or learned.... -Ed
